As part of Sangkara International School’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability education, phase one of our campus solar power initiative is now officially operational.
Covering the rooftop of the Main Academic Wing, the 45 kWp photovoltaic system comprises high-efficiency monocrystalline panels capable of generating over 60,000 kWh of clean renewable energy per year.
Integrating Sustainability into the Curriculum
The installation is not merely an energy project; it serves as a live laboratory for Sangkara students. Real-time telemetry screens installed in the Science Wing enable physics and environmental systems students to monitor solar irradiance, kilowatt generation, and carbon offset metrics in real time.
“By providing students with direct access to clean energy data, we turn our physical campus into an engaging classroom for climate literacy,” explained the Campus Operations Director.
The initiative marks the first milestone in Sangkara’s broader five-year carbon reduction roadmap.
